Doctors can be contacted by telephone during normal surgery hours. A message will be taken if the doctor is busy with another patient and they will endeavour to return your call as soon as possible. Emergency phone calls are dealt with immediately. Pathology results will not be given or discussed over the telephone with your doctor, except in extraordinary circumstances.
Pathology results are checked daily and we shall contact you in case the results need to be discussed. We will endeavour to contact you by telephone or through registered post, in case we are unable to contact you by telephone. We do not release confidential information such as results via email. To access your results, please make an appointment to see the doctor. We are able to give you a copy of your results only after you have discussed them with your doctor.
As a relatively new practice, we would love to hear back from you. Feel free to talk to the doctors or the receptionists for any queries, complaints or suggestions, or alternatively, use our feedback box for assured anonymity. The GPs at this practice bulk bill most in-hours consultations. There are some consultations, however, that cannot be bulk billed such as Workers Compensation visits, Pre-Placement Medical Examinations, Health Assessments, Insurance Medicals, Private Patients (those without a Medicare number), Private Psychology consultations for those without EPC Referrals, and some Specialist’s consultations. Patients with Medicare must present their Medicare Card or all appropriate details to the reception prior to seeing the doctor. Failure to present the correct details will mean that patients may be charged or sent an invoice.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
It is a Practice policy that no consultation will be conducted via email. The doctors will not usually discuss results over electronic communication as we cannot guarantee confidentiality. There may be exceptional circumstances, however, this is at the discretion of the doctor and must be communicated and agreed upon at the time of face-to-face consultation.
Electronic communication is generally used only for correspondence of a non-sensitive nature. This practice will not transmit any confidential information, including results, through email as this is not considered a secure method of communication. We are able to fax, post, or print out a copy for the collection of results if authorised by the doctor.
PHONE COMMUNICATION
Our Practice may contact you via telephone calls, text messages and/or email to confirm or notify you of any changes to your scheduled appointment, recalls requiring urgent attention and health promotion reminders (optional).
Telephone calls from patients will not generally be put through to doctors. Our reception staff will be happy to take down your contact details and the message to pass on. Our Doctors will be in touch on the same day or if they are not available on the day, the next time they are scheduled to be in the clinic. Patients will be able to speak to the nurse, who will triage the urgency of the request and communicate with the doctor. For any medical emergencies, we recommend you attend your nearest Emergency Room or Hospital.

Translation is available via interpreter. Services for those who are non-English speaking. The National Relay Service is also available for patients with hearing impairments.

REMINDER SYSTEM
Our practice is committed to preventative care. You will be opted in to receive health reminders to services appropriate to your care. We also participate in National/State wide reminder system. Please let your doctor know if you do not wish to participate.
